On completion of the 1-day cycle ride leader training course, the participants should have the riding skills, knowledge and expertise to enable them to plan and run group rides. All will be certified accordingly. This is the entry-level ride leadership award, commonly known as Ride Leadership Award level 1 (RLA1).
The course has regularly been attended by individuals from cycling clubs, leisure riders and cycle instructors. It provides essential training for anyone planning to lead rides in any capacity. The guidance provided on this course will provide you with the means to make an informed judgement about your own group rides, whether you are organising a club run or leading a guided ride.
